The National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Western Reserve Chapter (f. 1891) was formed in Cleveland, Ohio, by Catherine Hitchcock Tilden Avery (Mrs. Elroy M. Avery) who became interested in organizing a local chapter when she visited Washington, D.C., soon after the formation of the National Society in 1890.
